Lol nope. If I remember correctly it’s an old railroad that they used in the early 1900s. The cool thing is though, there’s a trail that leads up to it and you can walk out on it to where it ends. Here’s a pic

It’s grown tremendously. The beach road is packed with tourists and water trucks. They are consuming water resources at an unsustainable rate. The only reason it’s not bigger, the need to create power. I think I’ll head south to my buddies place, Xamach Dos.
Here are the stats: 11mm f/2.8 25sec ISO 200 The beach is so lit since there was a full moon that night and the moon light was reflecting off the beach, clouds and ocean.
Love that this photo caught that ship off in the distance. Looks so peaceful and nice there. I may need to make a trip out of Toronto soon. Winter or not. Thanks for the share.
Been there last summer, can’t wait to get back. It was the best time I’ve ever had!
wouldn’t say infested, but definitely around. I lived there for the first 10 years of my life and still go back a few times a year for a holiday. It’s a small own of about 20’000 people thats on the water and about 3
Thanks! At low tide, the sand near the surf line is very wet and almost fully saturated with water. If the waves are gentle, when one rolls out it will leave behind a sheen of water that’s almost like a mirror. It only lasts
Not sea lions (Zalophus californianus), these are harbor seals (Phoca vitulina). Nice pic regardless…
Looks a lot like the beach at Azul Sensatori where I had my wedding. Nice picture.
Photoshop – I can tell by the blue sky (just kidding, I wish we had that weather when we were there). Nice work!
Here it is on Google Maps, it’s called [Prickly Pear Island.](https://www.google.ca/maps/preview#!q=antigua&data=!1m4!1m3!1d953!2d-61.7984441!3d17.1758651!2m1!1e3!4m15!2m14!1m13!1s0x8c129363ff620915%3A0xc6dbec600cc1c7a3!3m8!1m3!1d89974!2d-104.6166075!3d50.4513789!3m2!1i1064!2i850!4f13.1!4m2!3d17.0746557!4d-61.8175207&fid=7)
It’s weird, pics of these wonderful dunes and beaches never get the attention they deserve I think mostly because it’s on a lake. People have no idea how nice the sandy shores of huron and Michigan can be
This is gorgeous. I’m sitting in soggy cold northern California. Sigh
I was there around ten years ago and it was beautiful. We also took a boat to Frontona and to Rincon, both amazing! Also the falls at Limon are super cool too ! I’d love to go back that often!
I was right across the Intracoastal from you then, visiting home for the holiday. Hope you enjoyed! 🙂
I took it at Picnic Island Park. The goal was to take it in St. Pete, but there was no way we were going to make it there before the sun set.
We are headed into the cold, rainy season. But still there is a naturalness here. I live in a town but nature it all around.
I think it’s a wonderful place at shipyard, But I haven’t stayed anywhere else on the island so I guess my answer is pretty biased.
Oh that’s where that is! I’ve had [this wallpaper](http://i.imgur.com/I8Io4RA.jpg) for years, but thought it was from the California coast.
This is beautiful. I had no idea that lake beaches could look like actual beaches.
Thanks! I took it getting off the ferry getting onto the island. I never made it to that beach, but did make it to a spot just south of there, getting around deffffffintitely sucked haha
We chartered a small boat, as far as I know there aren’t many regulations for visiting it. (It’s not very remote)
